CLOSURES TO PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY

Beginning in 2017, special events and other public events that request street, sidewalk, or alley closures will pay 1% of fees regularly charged for street occupancy permits related to construction and other activities.  This fee will increase by 1% annually starting in 2018, reaching 5% in 2021.  Private or invitation-only events that close public streets, alleys, or sidewalks will be charged standard rates for occupancy of the public right of way.  The PW Transportation and Mobility website will provide you with tools on how to estimate the cost starting in January.  Additionally, if you will be requesting the same closure as 2016, you can estimate your total cost found on the 2016 permit and take 1% of that for this year.  All permits will be a minimum of $50.

You must begin the application process a minimum of 60 days prior to the event date by submitting a COMPLETE packet to transportationtmc@denvergov.orgThis packet must include the application, traffic control plan, insurance, neighborhood notification, and event site map.  Incomplete packets will be denied.  Attached you will find information that will assist you with the application packet.
